Incoming Department of Health (DOH) secretary Paulyn Ubial shows support in increasing the salary of Filipino nurses and other health professionals to facilitate delivery and implementation of quality health services. She will also consider to refile the vetoed Comprehensive Nursing Bill.

Incoming health secretary Ubial clarifies as well that Fabella hospital is currently unsafe and the construction of the new Fabella Hospital is ongoing inside the DOH compound. She also mentioned that DOH never support any privatization of hospital.
Ubial also shows support for the implementation of RH law and the proper allocation of its budget for the year 2017. She agreed as well in the plan of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte in 3-child policy per family. She also eyes to increase taxes for junk foods and sodas so that it will not be easily available to the poor and children to prevent malnutrition.
